매터는 세계, 자연, 물질의 의미를 포괄하는 Matter에서 착안하여 지어졌습니다. 향, 색, 음, 텍스트의 감각과 음양오행, 차크라의 인사이트를 아우르며 향을 디자인하는 매터는 프리미엄 향 부티크를 지향합니다. 스피릿추얼리티부터 구상의 세계를 조망하는 매터의 블렌드는 그 어떤 향보다 정신적인 동시에 감각적입니다. 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 미술가 박보마가 조향사 bmq로서 시작한 매터는 매터만의 인사이트를 적용한 '매터의 개인 분위기 차트 서비스'를 개시하며 함께 2023년 3월부터 블렌드를 하나씩 선보이고 있으며 타 브랜드의 제품과 분위기에 맞는 향을 디자인 하고, 작품이나 전시와 협업하는 서비스를 이어오고 있습니다.
Maatter was conceived with inspiration drawn from “Matter,” a word that encompasses the meanings of the world, nature, and substance. Embracing the sensory experiences of scent, color, tone and text, alongside the insights of Yin-Yang, the Five Elements, and chakras, Maatter aspires to be a premium scent boutique. Its blends, ranging from spirituality to the realm of tangible forms, are as intellectual as they are sensorial. Based in Seoul, Maatter was founded by artist boma pak, who began her journey as a perfumer bmq. With the launch of “Maatter’s Personal Ambience Chart Service,” which applies Maatter’s unique insights, she has been unveiling one blend after another since March 2023. Maatter also offers services that design fragrances to complement the products and atmospheres of other brands, and collaborates on projects and exhibitions.
Flutter
매터는 향수나 룸 스프레이가 아닌 ‘플러터 Flutter’라는 이름으로 제품군을 부릅니다. 플러터는 향수 전용 베이스를 사용하지만 향의 목적이나 기호에 맞게 섬유, 공간 등 다채롭고 자유롭게 뿌리길 권하고 있습니다. 플러터는 네가지 라인으로 구분됩니다.
Maatter doesn't refer to its products as perfumes or room sprays—instead, we call them, "Flutter." Although Flutter uses a base specifically designed for perfumes, it encourages diverse and creative application on fabric, spaces, and more, tailored to individual olfactory purpose and preferences. Flutter is divided into four lines.
Flutter Reflective

매터 개인 분위기 차트 서비스
이 서비스는 명리, 차크라를 기반으로 30여가지 에센셜 오일과 함께 상담을 진행한 후 매터만의 인사이트를 통해 개인의 분위기를 향, 색, 질감, 온도 등으로 해석하고 이를 차트로 완성하는 서비스입니다. 2023년 한 해 동안 진행한 이 서비스는 현재 종료되었지만, 매터의 정수를 담고 있으며 보다 체계적으로 선보이기 위해 새로운 프로그램을 준비하고 있습니다.
Maatter Personal Ambience Chart Service
This service combines consultations based on Eastern destiny analysis (Myeongri) and chakras with over 30 essential oils. Using Maatter's unique insights, we interpret an individual's ambience through fragrance, color, texture, temperature, and more, culminating in a comprehensive chart. Although this service ran throughout 2023 and has since concluded, it embodies the essence of Maatter, and we are preparing a new program to present it in a more systematic way.

매터는 타 브랜드의 제품과 분위기에 맞는 향을 디자인 하고, 작품이나 전시와 협업하는 서비스를 이어오고 있습니다. 전시를 위한 조향 작업, 트위드를 소재로한 하이엔드 의류 브랜드의 소재별 향 제작, 코스메틱, 빈티지 의류 브랜드를 위한 이미지 조향 등의 작업을 진행하였습니다.
Maatter Official Ambience Service
Maatter continues to offer services that design fragrances tailored to the products and ambiance of other brands, as well as collaborations with artworks and exhibitions. We have undertaken scent creation for exhibition installations, developed material-specific fragrances for a high-end tweed clothing brand, crafted image-oriented fragrances for a vintage clothing brand, and designed scents for a cosmetic brand, among other projects.
